League Rules

1. Game Play

a) The snooker league will run each year starting from 00:00 01st January until 23:59 31st December inclusive
b) Each player will compete in an equal set amount of games against all oponents throughout this period
c) Each game will consist of 4 frames each, with 2 frames played consecutively at each of the 2 sessions
d) Should only 1 frame be played, the 2nd frame will be played at the start of the next session, with the final 2 frames played later on in the next
  session
e) Players will take alternative turns to start the break, first player to break will be determined by coin toss
f) Game outcome is determined by the overall result of those 4 frames
g) There will be 2 points for a Win, 1 point for a Draw, 0 points for a Lose
h) League position will be determined in ascending order by the following ways:
  i) in ascending order the highest number of Points will be placed first
  ii) if equal, then in ascending order the higest number of Frames Difference - (frames won minus frames lost)
  iii) if equal, the ranking is determined by the outcome of all games played between those 2 players, with the most overall wins placed above
  the opponent
  iv) if equal, a one frame play-off match will take place between the 2 players with the winner of the frame placed above opponent

2. Snooker Rules
Normal rules of snooker applies in accordance with Snooker Rules of this site, with the exception of the following rules taking priority

3. Winning the Frame
a) There will be a set maximum time of 1 hour per frame. If the frame is not finished within this time, the player with the higest score at this
  point will win the frame. This rule does not apply and will continue if only the black ball is left on table
b) The lead scoring player can declare winning the frame if the opposition needs a "snooker" to win when:
i) 1 snooker is needed when only Black ball is left on table
ii) the opponent can not make a valid snooker play within 3 consecutive shots if:
a) 2 snookers are needed when only the Pink and Black ball is left on table
b) 3 snookers are needed when only Blue, Pink and Black ball is left on table

4. Foul and Miss
a) If a player fouls to hit a valid ball on his play the opponent may request:
i) The shot to be taken again from the current White ball's position
ii) To retake the fouled shot from the original position, only if the first shot was deemed to not be a good enough attempt to hit the valid ball.
  This process can be repated a maximum of 2 times from the same foul, resulting in a total of 3 set of foul points awarded

5. Relegation
a) At the end of the league, the player last of the table can choose to be relegated or pay a penalty of £5

6. Prizes
Prizes at the end of the year will be distributed in the following ways:
a) 40% - Champion - to the winner of the league
b) 20% - Runners Up - to the second place of the league
c) 10% - Tournament - to the winner of the Grand Snooker Tournament
d) 10% - Breaker - to the player with most Break points
e) 5% - Golden Cue - to the player with the highest break
f) 5% - Damager - to the player with the most High Score points
g) 5% - Knockout - to the player with the most Knockout points
h) 5% - Perfecter - to the player with the most Perfect Game points

7. Prizes Terms
a) Champion - to the player that is ranking first place in the snooker league determined by rule 1h
b) Runners Up - to the player that is ranking second place in the snooker league determined by rule 1h
c) Tournament - Grand Snooker Tournament will take place in between November and December of each year, the winner will be the player to
  progress through to the end as set out by the tournament game play rules
d) Breaker - break points are collected during normal course of league play. Each valid break over 10 points will qualify for break points. 1 Break
  Point will be given for valid breaks between 11-20. 3 break points will be given for valid breaks between 21-40. 5 Break Points will be given
  for valid breaks 41 and over.
e) Golden Cue - the highest scoring break from each player during league play will be used to qualify for this prize
f) Damager - the score of each frame will be recorded, the winner of the frame may qualify for High Score points. 1 High Score point is given for
  all end scores over 50.
g) Knockout - Knockout points are awarded to the winning player of a frame if within that frame, the losing opponent has a score of 20 or under
  AND providing that the winning player's own score in that frame exceeds a difference of 40 points.
h) Perfecter - 1 perfect game point will be awarded to the player if they manage to win all 4 frames in the same game against 1 opponent

8. Prize, Fees and Membership
Monthly memberships, penalty fees and discretionary donations will be collected to fund our annual prize payout.
a) Monthly members fee of £1 per player
b) Money change from table rates capped at £1 per player
c) Penalty fees:
White Ball Pot: 10p per pot made
